Fourteeners Journal
A digital field journal for Colorado’s 14ers.
Fourteeners Journal is a private place to record the mountains you’ve climbed, the attempts that became stories of their own, and the details you’ll want to remember years from now.
No followers. No public rankings. No pressure to perform for anyone else.
Just your mountains, your memories, and your history.
Your mountains. Your memories. Your journal.
Fourteeners Journal was built for the part of climbing that usually disappears.
The summit photo survives. Maybe a GPS track survives. But the weather that morning, the strange conversation at the trailhead, the route mistake, the dog who came along, the climb that turned around just below the summit — those details tend to fade.
FJ gives them somewhere to live.
Record old climbs from years ago. Add new ones as they happen. Attach photographs, notes, outcomes, and compatible hike data. Over time, the app becomes less like a checklist and more like a personal mountain archive.
Build your climbing history
You can reconstruct climbs from long before you installed the app or keep the Journal current as you continue exploring Colorado’s high country.
Attempts belong here too.
Not every meaningful day ends on a summit.
Explore all 58 peaks
Every peak in Fourteeners Journal has its own dedicated page.
The goal is not to replace a guidebook.
It is to give each mountain a little identity of its own.
Attach the hike
Fourteeners Journal reads compatible Health data on-device.
It does not require a Strava or AllTrails account and does not connect directly to either service.

Progress is more than a number.
Expand a range and the individual mountains behind the numbers come back into view.
The point is not to compete with somebody else.
It is to see your own history take shape.
Map your Colorado
The statewide map places all 58 peaks in geographic context.
See where you’ve climbed, where you want to go next, and how your history spreads across the Front Range, Sawatch, San Juans, Sangres, Elks, Mosquito, and Tenmile.
Summited peaks and Want to Climb selections are reflected directly on the map.
Designed to be kept
Fourteeners Journal is built around a personal archive rather than a social profile.
Your Journal can include photographs stored independently inside the app, and FJ provides a portable manual backup format so you can preserve your history outside the app as well.

A good mountain app should help before the hike, remember afterward, and mostly get out of the way in between.
Fourteeners Journal is designed around that idea.
Use it to plan a little.
Use it to remember a lot.
Then put the phone away and go climb something.
Safety
Fourteeners Journal is a journal and planning companion, not a substitute for current route research, weather information, navigation tools, mountain judgment, or appropriate equipment.
Colorado’s high country changes quickly. Always use current authoritative information when planning a climb.
